Amy Reynolds
A fourth-generation studio owner, former professional dancer and national competition judge. Her dancers have gone on to college dance programs, national commercials and top agencies in LA and New York.

How does the free trial work?
Book online, show up, and dance. Your dancer tries a real class with no commitment.
Can we still join mid-season?
Yes! We enroll year-round, so your dancer can start anytime. Book a free trial and we’ll find the right class.
What should my dancer wear?
Lil Stars, Shooting Stars & Shining Stars: leotard and tights (skirts must be attached), pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
Rising Stars & Super Nova ballet: leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair secured back.
Jazz, lyrical & contemporary: fitted dancewear like leggings, biker shorts, sports bras or athletic tanks. Contemporary dancers often add pants for floor work.
Hip hop: whatever makes them feel swaggy, like sweatpants and a jersey, plus sneakers.
Tap: black oxford tap shoes. See our favorite brands.
Does my dancer have to compete?
Not at all. Our Stars and Rising Stars classes are recreational. West Austin Dance Company is by placement for dancers who want more.
Is there a recital?
Yes — every dancer performs in our professionally run spring show at the Lake Travis High School Performing Arts Center.
