How Online Classes Work

Thanks to technology we will be opening our digital doors and will be providing you with an online dance experience for your dancer to keep them moving, learning, interacting with their friends and having fun during this time!

We are very lucky to have amazing friends all over the country that are not on spring break yet.  Their online studios have opened and are an incredible way for their dancers to stay active, have fun and continue to progress!  Their parents are telling them they are such a breath of fresh air for the kids during this time.  They get to connect with their dance friends and dance family.  It’s a constant in their life and something they look forward to, that hasn’t changed.  From the seniors, all the way down to their youngest two year olds they are loving it across the board! We know it’s unconventional- but technology is amazing and it’s temporary until we are back to our normal lives! We promise, they will love it.

The Details

WHEN:
The choice is yours! You can take class at your leisure with our pre-recorded videos or you can check our schedule to join our live classes! These videos can be played all day every day!

WHERE:
Anywhere and everywhere! The beauty of a virtual classroom is your class can be taken in the comfort of your home and your friends and family can join in the fun!

HOW:
Your kids will have no problem figuring this out! Think about it, most children watch videos on ipads, tablets, laptops, etc. With the help of a parent logging in, our teachers will help keep them engaged the whole time!

  1.  Choose your space! Make sure you have access to a phone, tablet or laptop at minimum. If you have the ability to connect it to your tv- that’s a great option as well!
  2. For live classes: click the below link to see a class schedule! To enter, just click the “join live classes” button below!
  3. For Prerecorded classes, scroll down and find the class you’re looking for below. Use the class guidelines to find the class that’s best for your dancer! The below link will take you to a folder that has a ton of different options from full classes, to quick snip-it technique training within it!
  4. Choose your video and hit play. Make sure to choose full-screen mode.
  5. Post as you train! We want to see your dancer in action! Tag us at @westaustindance and #westaustindance on all social media!

Live Interactive Dance Classes

We understand how stressful and uncertain these times are and we want to make sure that we can at least be one constant in your dancer’s  life.  We have put together a schedule of classes for dancers of all ages and levels! We have tried to keep your dancer’s class as close to their normal time as possible, while running less rooms so we can ensure our teachers are safe as well! The classes will consist of a warm up, a full class including technique, recital dances, and ending with an air hug! These will run just like our regular classes do in our studio – just virtually!  The beauty of online classes? Feel free to jump into ANY class –  we will  review recital choreography for that specific class, but we will also be doing loads of fun things in styles your dancer may have always wanted to try out! Now is a great time for that!

Your Online Class Library is filled with prerecorded classes and is being updated continuously with new resources and learning tools! Below, you will find all of your full class videos, as well as quick technique tools you can use at home! Feel free to explore new styles!

We are excited  to offer a  ton of other resources for you during this time.

  • We are in a partnership program with  CLI studios.  CLI studios offers online master classes and choreography for our beautiful students.  CLI  will be holding live interactive events through out all of this time.  Also,  because we have been  a partner studio for the past three years they also offer student log ins.  (It is free for you – we pay a monthly surcharge for this convenience.)  We have sent this out to our competitive  program, but if you would like a link to do extra classes please let us know!
